Last week saw students of Darwin House raising money for the Max and George Dog’s Trust. It was a big success!

During the week, students took part in activities such as “Play Your Cards Right,” Bingo, Mario Cart and many more. We even had our teachers join in and dress up in dog onesie’s.

Over the course of the week, each form group in Darwin House, were given a dog that they were personally responsible raising money for and some form groups raised more than £200.

In addition, students brought in food donations such as dry/wet food, treats and chews.

Overall, the House collected £450 worth of dog food and £1,150 in money so far, which will be a small part to keep the Max and George Dogs Trust going and provide them with the vital resources they need.

Alex Britton, Head of Darwin House, said: “It was fantastic to welcome Lauren from the Max and George Trust on Friday. Our students got the opportunity to listen to what this local charity provides and understand what they are raising vital funds for. Students of Darwin House always go above and beyond during our House charity week and I am really proud of everyone for being so kind and generous. It’s nice to know that we can make a difference, even if it’s just one small act of kindness at a time. Well done, everyone !”
