We are hosting AFC Fradley in our school theatre on Monday 11 March as they hold a public event to promote ‘More Girls & Women in Football’.
Doors open at 6.30pm and the evening rolls through from 7.00-9.00pm.
There are a series of high profile speakers including Olivia Fergusson from Wolves, Katie Wilkinson from Southampton and England U23s, Laura Rafferty from Southampton and Northern Ireland, and our former student Freya Gregory from Aston Villa and England U23s.
There are limited seats available so it is worth booking in advance – you can do this by accessing via this link.
You can learn more about the event from AFC Fradley’s Facebook page which can be accessed here or by viewing the promotional poster which is here.
Matt Allman, Headteacher, said: “As a coach of a U18s women’s football team I can emphasise the huge benefits that come from playing football – whether it be great fitness, firm friendships or simply a sense of camaraderie and bonding. We are delighted to play a small part in AFC Fradley’s excellent initiative and know the club is keen to expand and grow with women and girls being an important part of that.”
