As part of our House charity fund-raising competition, our Garrick House Week saw students raising money and food donations for Lichfield Food Bank.

There was a fun-packed week with cake sales and the chocolate tombola beginning the fund-raising. Elsewhere, the sponsored row saw well with over 50 students taking part and helping to raise money. Also, our House treasure hunt saw students compete for the a prize.

This year our Garrick Show was a ‘Teacher’s Taskmaster’ which saw Mr Bal, Mr Portlock, Miss Harris and Dr Buxton all competing to entertain our students.

Naturally, we welcomed food donations and, with Lichfield Foodbank supporting 35% more people than last year and 123% more than in 2022, we know all our food donations and money raised are going to support local people in the Lichfield area who find themselves in need in these difficult times.

Steve Cartner, Head of House, said; “I would like to thank all the Garrick tutors who help support and run the events in the week and the parents and students who kindly donated chocolate, cakes and food to help make the this another successful charity week. We have already raised over £700 and this will only increase with the a bit more sponsor money to come in and the Food Bank will send us confirmation of how much food we collected as well. Thank you again for all your support.”
