We are now just 8 weeks away from the GCSE exam starting for real – and the Sixth Form exams will begin soon after.

Our school is awash with revision and study sessions, morning boosters, after-school boosters and Saturday Schools and will be up until the last exam. Our staff go the extra mile and thankfully students come right with along them.

The half-term break began with around 90 students fore-going Day 1 of their Spring Half-Term Break to attend English Saturday School.

Bex Oldfield, Assistant Headteacher, said: “We are very much a school that sees potential in every child and hard work, commitment and determination can get everyone a long way. The overwhelmingly majority of students are proving to be superb as they enter the home straight and we believe in them 100%. There is no reason any of them cannot have lots to celebrate come Results Day if they apply themselves, their effort and their talent.”

Matt Allman, Headteacher, added: “We’d encourage all parents of children facing exams this summer to maintain a sense of positivity, encouragement and discipline with their child in these last few weeks. Those parents who are in the loop, know what is coming up day-by-day, and play their full part in the journey only help their child’s life chances. Calm direction and communicated belief is a massive support and, whilst exam success is not the be-all-and-end-all, there is no doubt it helps a great deal.”
