Our PTA team make an amazing contribution raising £1,000 for the education of every child in our building.

Our recent PTFA meeting saw the team reviewing recent events and plotting out the plans for the term or so ahead.

The team recounted the funds raised through the bars at the school shows and the Rotary Santa Run that raised c.£500 for the annual pot. Elsewhere our Xmas Raffle raised c.£1,000.

Looking ahead, we plotted out priorities for the PTFA Quiz Night on Thursday 1 February. The ticket are £7.50 per person and teams can run up the 6 people. The ticket includes entry and a fish’n chips supper.

Further ahead, our PTFA Comedy Night is in the diary for Friday 10 May and will see four adult comedians entertain the audience – including an excellent a local compere – and then a string of comdians recongisable from national venues and television.

Lottie Hearn, Deputy Headteacher, said: “We would urge all parents to be pro-active supporting the PTFA – if not by joining and contributing time – just by attending events or buying raffle tickets, etc. There is no doubt our school’s success is supported by the contribution of this team; whether it be minibuses, computers, library resources, or site refurbishments.

Matt Allman, Headteacher, added: “When you have parents going all guns blazing for the school then the chance of children doing well only increases. Please back us so that we can back your child.”
