We have had so much positive feedback on our Autumn Term whole-school show – ‘The Sound of Music’ – that we wanted to share many of the photos and performances that were so very well-received by packed audience.

First, we can offer a series of slides showing off the cast – you can view it here.

Second, we can share a slide show of the whole-performance – you can view it here.

Lottie Hearn, Deputy Headteacher, said: “We have been delighted by the reaction to ‘The Sound of Music’ and were keen to share memories with both our students and the families who all contributed so much to the show. We know for many children our theatre is their defining experience in our school and this is why we maintain the best possible facilities despite the challenges.”

Looking ahead, dates for the diary in terms of forthcoming shows and stage events are:

Battle of the Bands – Rock Classics v Britpop – Tuesday 6 February
Encore – Wednesday 20 March / Thursday 21 March
KS3 Show – Wednesday 19 June to Friday 21 June
Summer Sizzler – Thursday 11 July

Matt Allman, Headteacher, said: “We work so hard in the classroom to secure top results – and have been consistent in hitting the top echelons in the school league tables each year – but we are a school that also believe we are responsible for more than just exam results. The stage shows – when added to sports, debating, voluntary work, fund-raising, field trips and more besides – boost confidence, bolster well-being and help bring a little bit of fairy-dust to the students and families in our school.”
