Year 10 Health & Social Care students visited The Spires Care Home, giving up their time after school, to spend time and share conversations with the residents of the care home.

They helped residents make Christmas cards, decorate garlands and we attempted to make snowflakes, which is harder than it looks.

Trudy Simkiss, H&SC teacher and visit organiser, said: “As always, the students were amazing, they were polite, engaging with the residents and enthusiastic. The students have been making Christmas cards during the last lessons, these were delivered to the care home, for anyone who may not have close friends and family.”
