Our termly school literary magazine has been published under the heading of ‘Beginnings & Endings’ and sees students writing a succession of articles on this theme.

The contributions include reflections on Science work on the universe, a talk through school life from our Head Boy, an explanation of the migration of Hong Kong students to our school, and a succession of poems, reviews and articles on topics and experiences which have inspired our students.

Abbi Wright, E-zine co-ordinator, said: “The online e-zine was inspired as a project by students wanting to explore, explain and evidence their learning both in school and beyond. The articles chart the lessons, the personal stories, and the creative talents of our students and it is always well-received by staff and students.”

Matt Allman, Headteacher, added: “I always read the e-zine over the following school holidays and am always impressed by the writing of our students. Even without knowing the personal stories of the authors, it is still a great insight into the minds of Friary students and an opening onto topics from life that bring new and imaginative perspectives.”
