The Lichfield Christmas Tree Festival will be running through until the New Year and again our school has sponsored a tree to contributing to the project and to raise funds for the cathedral’s upkeep.
Visitors will be able to vote for their favourite tree and all proceeds raised will go to the Friends of Lichfield Cathedral who work tirelessly to raise money to support the 900-year-old Cathedral and to preserve it for future generations. Visitors are asked to check the Lichfield Cathedral website for opening times, which will vary from day to day during the very busy lead up to Christmas.
Matt Allman, Headteacher, said: “The cathedral is an important part of our city’s heritage and we are delighted to again be involved in supporting this event. The tour around all the trees is fantastic in the cathedral and we would urge all those with Friary connections to vote for our Christmas tree.”
