The match saw a great attacking game with plenty of excellent goals and all students working hard to get through to the next round of the cup.

Friary started brightly and quickly took a 4-goal lead after 15 minutes through some well worked team goals.

However, Cardinal Griffin reacted well and scored a number of long-range strikes.

Nonetheless, Friary continued to put pressure on the opposition defence and added to the score line to ensure we advanced in the cup. By the final whistle, Friday has scored their 11 with Jimmy Daniels – 4, Ethan Boden – 3, Teddy Cole – 2, Noah Malpass 1 and Zac Hayward – 1.

Jamie Sleigh, team coach, said: “We had joint Players of the Match as the pair could not be split – Jimmy Daniels and Noah Malpass. Both boys were involved in the majority of the goals, worked hard from start to finish, scored good goals themselves and assisted their team mates all over the pitch.”.
