As we dive into the Autumn term, we are excited to invite you to our upcoming Parent Teacher and Friends Association (PTFA) Oktoberfest event on Friday, September 29th.

Our PTFA Oktoberfest has gone down in history as one of our most popular fundraising events, bringing together a range of local ales, German themed BBQ and live music. However this year, will be the last time the event runs as we look to developing some new fundraising ideas for the future.

As ever, our PTFA BBQ crew will bring you the flavours of German cuisine, including bratwurst, pretzels, sauerkraut, and more. We’ll also have a variety of local ales and full PTFA bar to buy beverages from. A selection of gins from the Staffordshire Gin Company will also be on sale.

Get ready to tap your feet (and a whole lot more) to live music performed by the outstanding Karl’s Bavarian Brass. There’ll be plenty of opportunities for dancing and having fun with your friends. At this point, it is worth mentioning that this event is strictly for over 18s.

This event is not just about fun; it’s also an opportunity to strengthen our school community and meet other parents, friends and teachers.

Tickets to the PTFA Oktoberfest are available via Parent Pay and cost £10 each. Your ticket includes your first item from the BBQ as well as live music. All proceeds will benefit The Friary School PTFA fundraising, which support various school projects and activities.

Rally your family and friends and bring them along! We look forward to seeing you at our PTA Oktoberfest on 29th September.

Lottie Hearn, Deputy Headteacher, said; ” For several years, the Oktoberfest has been a highlight of our fundraising calendar. A riotous evening that has been not only great fun but also a brilliant fundraiser for the school. Money raised over the years has helped us to refurbish our Theatre, extend the canteen as well as provide new IT equipment for the Library. We’re sad that this is the last year we’ll be doing it, but we’re hoping a good turn out will give it the send off it deserves”

Please note, this is an indoor event.
