Our annual Summer Sizzler music festival managed to skip the random showers and showcased fantastic talent and raising funds for our PTFA.

The performers covered a wide range of music genres and included students who had also performed at the recent Lichfield Fuse Festival. There were also plenty of ‘old’ faces who came back to support the event and to check out that the traditions of our music showcase were upheld.

In addition, there were bars and food stalls manned by out PTFA, student-led stalls, bouncy castles and vast fields to play in and hang out with friends as the music thumped through.

Lottie Hearn, Deputy Headteacher, said: “The attendance was fantastic and we welcomed a lot of Year 6 students as part of their transition to ‘big school’. Our students loved the chance to perform  and their parents caught up, camped out and relaxed through the evening too. We are very proud of this event and it fits into our wide extra-curricular package. Our next ventures are the Year 7 Dedication Service and our Christmas Carol Concert at Lichfield Cathedral, as well as our performance of ‘The Sound of Music’ so a busy Autumn Term is already on the horizon.”
