Amidst our on-going work on securing online safety for our students and supporting families in dealing with the rapidly changing online world we are keen to flag up that Google has just released a new online safety hub aimed at families.

The Google page can be accessed here and has a wide range of up-to-date hints and suggestions on how families can support their children online.

Additionally we have released our latest online safety newsletter and this year’s publications can be accessed via these links: Autumn 2022 and Summer 2023.

Stacey Walsh, Assistant Headteacher and Designated Safeguarding Lead, said; “We very much view our role as to protect and support our students in both the ‘real’ and ‘online’ world as modern teenagers interchange between the two platforms with huge regularity. There is always much for parents to get to grips with and so we are always ready to flag up new thinking, new challenges and new means of protection and guidance.”
