Students from the school book club and library helpers went on a trip to Waterstones in Lichfield to look through a fantastic selection of books before choosing some for our school library.
We had previously discussed which books would enhance our library collection and we also took into consideration suggestions that had been placed in our ‘suggestions box’ by other students.
The students were pleased with the selection at Waterstones and after picking out far too many books they worked together to reduce the number of books to within budget.
Nicola Burdett, School Librarian, said: “The students were superb throughout and really enjoyed making the decisions. Student voice is a big part of how we seek to improve our school and this visit was all about students inspiring and engaging their peers.”
