OFQUAL are the Office of Qualifications and Examinations Regulation and they regulate the qualifications, examinations and assessments in England. Effectively, they check the standards and organisation for all the courses we run in our school.
They have released a new blog post entitled: “, “Exam Results 2023: 10 Things To Know About GCSE, AS and A Level Grades” which gives a range of information including that the exams are returning to pre-pandemic standards, with protection built into the grading process to recognise the disruption that students have faced.

Bex Oldfield, Assistant Headteacher, said; “The blog reveals nothing that we do no know, and it pushes the messages we have reiterated to students over the course of the school year, but it is useful to have the information in one place and to be able to share it with parents so that it is clear there is a national context to the individual stories that come out of Results Day.”
