Three wins out of three saw our Year 10 boys win the District six-a-side competition as great team performances saw all students contributing across the three matches.

Second game saw Friary restrict Cathedral School to 48/1 off their 5 overs. Matt Allen with the wicket for the Friary with a peach of a delivery, followed up with tight overs from Jono George and Krish Sukhadia. Runs knocked off inside 4 overs from Luan (32*) and Matt Allen (9*).
Final game meant a win for the Friary and they would win the competition. A great start from Josh Douglas-Boisson (14) and Jono George (17*) saw them out the team in a great position. Tight bowling from all the team meant Friary took the final win by 11 runs, excellent bowling from Hector Nottage and Luan rounded off the third win of the evening.
Jamie Sleigh, team coach, said: “A successful evening for our team but what pleased me the most was everyone contributing in some way, whether supporting Luan with the batting, to bowling good line and lengths, and great fielding from all to keep teams to low scores. The hard work in nets every lunch time has paid off and their dedication to the sport outside of school is great to see.”
