As a school, we use the HOPE mentoring approach to assist our students who need support, guidance and assistance in negotiating the challenges and complexities of teenage life. We have a specialist lead in this approach in Fiona Evans, Student Support, though all of this team are well-trained in this approach, and many students find the mentoring extremely valuable.

Each month, HOPE offers Parent Support Sessions via Zoom.

This month’s support session is based on Self-harm and we feel it important to flag this session up to our parents.

This Zoom session is entitled ‘ Self Harm’ and takes place at 7.00pm on Tuesday 23 May and 10.00am on Thursday 25 May. It is a safe space for parents to access information, to chat and to learn from one another through shared experience.

The link for this Zoom session is here.

Any parents who want more detail can contacted Keddie on 07508 176 043 or via keddieHOPE2021@outlook.com.

Stacey Walsh, Assistant Headteacher, said: “HOPE Parent Support Sessions are a way for our parents to gain knowledge, feel empowered and allows them to support their child at home. Whilst all students are offered support in school, we do not underestimate the importance of this work continuing at home.”
