As part of our raising aspirations programme, this week locally based business GXO visited our Year 9 students to provide an interactive careers presentation.
GXO is a world leader in providing cutting-edge logistics solutions for multinational companies.
The training and development team from GXO provided our Year 9 students with an abundance of information which gave them great insight into the operational functions of the business. They discussed the many varying career routes and explained about work experience and apprenticeship opportunities that are available.
During the presentation students were prompted to look out for key information and later on took part in an exciting quiz, resulting in many students receiving prizes.
Faye Banks, Careers Coordinator, said: ‘Working closely with GXO has enabled us to provide students with employer encounter opportunities, careers and LMI information, along with future opportunities for work experience and apprenticeships. We are looking forward to visiting the business with students in the near future.”
