An addition to our student voice platform is for each House to produce an exhibition of work – whether it be art-work, commentary pieces, or research – in relation to a Focus Week.

This week’s Pet Week included an exhibition of work on the topic and there was an array of student talent, debate and opinion on display for peers and staff to check out.

The work included evaluations of different pets in terms of suitability, commentaries on animal testing, the benefits of pets to personal, well-being and an array of drawings and sketches of family pets.

Stacey Walsh, Assistant Headteacher, said: “We encourage our students to speak up, articulate opinions and feelings, and to express themselves with reason, flair and passion. The House exhibitions provide yet another vehicle for students to use their voice and they can be added to pour magazines, councils, debates, presentations, assemblies and more besides.”
