We have been approached by our local District Councillor, Paul Ray, to promote a ‘Be Proud of Your Community Day’ in the north of Lichfield centred around Oakenfield on Saturday 13th May from 10am-2.30pm. The event has been pulled together by Lichfield District Council, Bromford Housing, the Police and Lichfield Litter Legends.

The event will have various aspects to it all designed to build pride in the area and to give the community some fun:

* Litter picking
* 6 Skips to help residents get rid of unwanted items
* Gardening help and free bulbs and plants
* Refreshments
* Kids activities
* Gazebo Village’ with local police, the council and Bromford on hand to give advice and assistance on any local issues.

Matt Allman, Headteacher, said: “We are happy to promote this event as we have a lot to be pleased about in terms of living and working in Lichfield. This is a fantastic idea and we are sure this event will be a huge success.”
