The Year 11 formal exams start 18 schools days after the return from the Easter Break and we know that many students will have used the holiday to get their revision going.

Of course, ability always plays a part in exams, but work ethic takes you a long, long way and motivation and commitment can certainly be pushed by parents and wider family being pro-active and on board with the need to study.

The following resources are designed to help students – supported by their parents and family to review – and are only the tip of the iceberg in terms of what has been offered via Satchel One (Show My Homework), revision websites like Seneca and BBC Bitesize, morning and after-school boosters, as well as Saturday and Holiday School sessions.

Bex Oldfield, Assistant Headteacher, said: “We provide extensive support for the final revision push for our students – whether it be these resources or the countless boosters and extra sessions we offer across all of our subjects. The revision process should not be viewed as overwhelming or too great a task to manage as every child has been well taught and is just going over what they have already covered and largely know. The exam period is followed by a lengthy break – pretty much two months – and so hard work now will be rewarded with an extended rest, celebratory events and ultimately students and family happiness and pride come Results Day. There is not a single student in our school who cannot achieve success this Summer.”
