The close partnership between The Greywood MST and The Primitas Learning Partnership saw The Friary School run a Maths Masterclass for primary schools in the Primitas group.
Students from Ridgeway Primary School, Holly Grove Primary School and Highfield Primary School came into the school to work with Maths staff and give a fresh perspective to addressing the higher grades in Maths SATs.
There is huge value in primary liaison work as it supports students in making the transition to secondary school and familiarises them with a bigger building, new people and a different approach to teaching.
Matt Allman, Headteacher, said: “The students from Ridgeway, Holly Grove and Highfield were fantastic, really positive and keen to do well in Maths, We thoroughly enjoyed them visiting us and look forward to hearing about them going on to greater success in the years to come.”
