Out U15 girls remain top of the league despite narrowly being defeated by EDA.

Our girls have won all of their games until this one so have a great chance of taking the league title but games in hand will be played out before we know the final outcome.

The final game got off to a positive start with a goal in the opening 10 mins from Freya Milligan, however EDA had most of the possession and were fighting back. They soon equalised and were leading 2-1 at half time.

EDA continued to be better than us for the rest of the game, which lead to us sadly losing our first game of the league, but their victory still left us with top spot.

Hollie Wright, PE teacher and team coach, said: “Special mention to our defence, in particular Aimee Meakin, for superb focus throughout and continually encouraging the team and keeping everyone’s heads up. All the girls who have participated in the team have been outstanding every single game, building new relationships as the games passed, and becoming the ones to beat in the county. Hopefully other results work in our favour and we finish the season in top spot and the trophy is ours.”
