Our Year 11 team travelled to Nether Stowe School on Wednesday to compete in their second basketball game this year.
The team played the best they have yet, winning 66-16 with our entire team having an incredible game. Some highlights of the game were Jack Yeomans two amazing three pointers, Jai Haw and Olly Hateley’s high press defence winning us many points, and Finbar Birchall’s impressive rebounding helping him lead the point scoring with 30 points throughout the game.
Other notable performances include Sam Wright and Joe Swindells who’s ability to drive to the basket made them almost unplayable at times. A final mention must go to Niall Broderick whose handling skills were unmatched throughout the game and he was able to seamlessly help the team transition from defence to attack whilst racking up numerous assists and points for himself.
Sam Foster, team coach, said;. “Every player played a massive part in the win today and showed great effort and determination to win.”
