The boys triumphed with goals galore in a hockey tournament against Lichfield Cathedral School. The Friary played against both A & B teams, across two separate pools, and even battled each other in a Friary V Friary showdown with the Y8s coming runners up.
The tournament saw an amazing 17 goals in total from the Friary boys with top goal scorer being shared between Noah Bowers Y7 and Fraser Neenan Y8.
It was also nice to see a debut from the newcomers Caleb Bruno, Jack Battams and Max Garland, all from Y7. Well done boys, nice to have you in the team.
The boys played some tactical hockey, applying constant pressure on the Cathedral defence, and despite the opposition’s best efforts, they could not stop the reverse shots from the Friary forwards.
Kim Fallows, head coach, said: “Player of tournament went to Noah Bowers (Y7) for his sheer determination and tactical awareness of what was expected of him. Well done Noah, fantastic performance, you are super keen, keep up the good work.”
