Our PTFA collected a £300 cheque from Lichfield Round Table following our participation in the Santa Run which whizzes through the local streets spreading Xmas cheer and collecting donations for different local charities each evening.
Having been drawn in the Xmas Holidays and on the night of the World Cup Final it was something of a graveyard slot but our hardy PTFA members still managed to get out and about and keep the school flag flying in this important community event.
The money raised goes to the rolling PTFA total and will be spent on IT upgrades which under current funding levels would not get addressed.
Matt Allman, Headteacher, said: “With teachers and parents who are regular supporters of our PTFA zooming off away over Xmas, we were down to the barebones in terms of those who could step up and take our palace on the Santa Run, so we are hugely grateful that amidst holidays, finals, and everyday life we were still represented. Our school would be more the poorer without our PTFA and when children do well in lessons or take part in wider activities they may not realise that the PTFA’s hand in terms of funding and support is right behind them.”
