The following message went out to parents on Thursday 26 January 2023:

We are just dropping you a line to update you on the industrial action that will be affecting schools across the country over the next few weeks.

There are school strike days coming up in waves across the UK but the ones in our area are scheduled as follows:

* Wednesday 1 February
* Wednesday 1 March
* Wednesday 15 March
* Thursday 16 March

At present, only one of the teaching unions – the NEU – has voted to take industrial action and we have some members of this union in our school.

However, this union is one of the smaller ones we have, so consequently, we are planning to open as usual on Wednesday 1 February.

There may be some advance adjustments to timetables, and perhaps on the day too, but at the moment we generally expect lessons to run as usual.

Matt Allman, Headteacher, added: “This picture will change if other trade unions come out on strike but we will cross that bridge when we come to it.”
