Matt Allman, Headteacher, said: “Like an athlete preparing for the Olympics, a footballer for a Cup Final, or anyone prepping for an important job interview, these mock exams are all about training for the real thing. You do not win your gold medal if you just rock up for the race without having put in the training. Those students who do not put the effort in here are hindering their chances when it really matters and we would tell all parents to play their part in monitoring and supporting their child’s revision. The students have mountains of materials and guidance, after-school boosters and Saturday Schools too, and if we all do our bit then everyone with us can succeed. If there are any mock results that go poorly, then providing we know that the revision was there, we can be very clear in correcting it – nothing ends in the mocks as long as you have put the hard yards in.”
