Our Years 7-9 school show this year will be ‘Mary Poppins’ and it will be performed in W/B Monday 19 June.

The auditions for the main roles will take place on Tuesday 17 January between 3.05pm-4.15pm in the school theatre.

These lead roles are made up of Mary Poppins, Mr Banks, Mrs Banks, Bert, Bird Lady, Jane Banks and Michael Banks.

All chorus and minor roles will not need an auditioned and any student is welcome to get involved – no one will be turned away. It is just a case of turning up to the first rehearsal when that takes place later this term.

Richard Hughes, Head of Performing Arts, said: “We were looking to perform ‘Mary Poppins’ before COVID intervened so it will be fantastic to get this wonderful show off the ground. The recent ‘Grimms Tales’ revealed a lot of talent all the way down the school – despite the COVID break hampering opportunities – so we feel sure some real stars will emerge in the younger years through this show.”
