The Performing Arts Department have been delighted to welcome back former Friary School student Eleanor Ham, Director of LCA Academy of Performing Arts, who visited us to deliver a master class to the Sixth Form Performing Arts students.
Eleanor is busy building her career as a performer, teacher and acting agent, so we feel lucky that she was able to spend an afternoon with us and inform our students about how to secure professional work in the Performing Arts sector.
The session covered a wide range of topics from self-promotion methods and networking to employment law and audition tips.
Richard Hughes, Head of Performing Arts, said: “The students found Ellie inspiring and loved hearing her stories about acting roles. The information she was able to provide about industry practices was also very useful.”
