Our regular attendance rewards scheme saw hundreds of students get a breakfast treat of bagels and hot chocolates (with cream and marshmallows).
All evidence shows that attendance at school is the number one factor behind good exam results and this means that we place a high emphasis on attendance.
Those rewards included those with exemplary levels of attendance, but also other children whose attendance had been off, but had turned around.
Richard Barnett-Richards, Assistant Headteacher, said: “We very much work to celebrate when good things happen and strong or improved attendance is well worth celebrating. The students loved the treats, lots of staff dropped down to celebrate with them, and we’ll have another round of rewards next term. Unfortunately, we aren’t in a position to reward all the Mums and Dads who do a fantastic job each day to make sure their children arrive in school and before the first bell.”
