Year 5 & 6 students from Henry Chadwick Primary School visited our DT Department to use the workshop facilities in the spirit of Christmas.

The students spent a morning making Christmas Tree decorations – right from designing on the computer and using the laser printer, before going on to use saws and files in the workshop.

The project was also as much about familiarising the students with their secondary school in order to make them more comfortable as their transition to secondary school draws ever closer.

The children’s products were delivered to the school and will now be adorning family homes.

Matt Allman, Headteacher, said: “The students from Henry Chadwick were fantastic, and though this visit was also connected to our work together in the Greywood MST, it replicates what we also do with other local primary schools through the year. It is a big step to secondary school and any session like this provides an experience only hopes come the new school years.
