A friendly fixture with King Edwards saw a depleted team perform superbly but suffer eventual defeat in a mixed mini-tournament.

Our teams were bare-bones and King Edwards’ extra subs made a difference through the games – though both sides played some superb hockey too.

Friary players on the score sheet included Noah Bowers (Y7), Sam McCaskie (Y7), Fraser Neenan (Y8) and Luke Aldridge (Y8).

Kim Fallows, team coach, said: “It was a great team effort and well done to everyone. Players of the tournament were awarded to Phoebe Shelley (Y9) and Ted Plant (Y7) for their overall performances. It was a fantastic fixture to hone up skills in and there were really some superb players on either side.”
