Our PTFA make a huge difference to the school – whether it be providing new minibuses, supporting the major renovation work in the theatre, setting up new computers in the library, or providing the seating for the canteen, and our school would be a lot poorer without them.
One of the many schemes they run is our Bag2School Collections which see old clothing and materials sent in and then sent off so that we receive a donation back based largely on weight.
The most recent collection took place recently and saw £160 raised for our PTFA.
The PTFA priorities for this school year are tied into upgrading the computers in the school library. The computers are used by all students from first thing in the morning to print off work done at home and till last thing in the day when the efforts of our daily Homework Club are printed off.
Matt Allman, Headteacher, said: “We know that some parents cannot commit the time to attend meetings, or contribute at events, but we do hope that every family when they have a clear out they can think of us and how their donation can make a difference in our school.”
