Our Careers & Aspirations Programme is a real strength of the school and we continue to support other schools in their development in this area.
Recently, we worked with Browne Jacobson, a national law firm to provide our students who have expressed an interest in Law a virtual opportunity to gain experience in the sector.
Consequently, over the half-term break, we had 9 students – Emily Clarkson (Y11) and Bryony Stephenson, Emily Shelley, George Ballinger, Ellie Jones, Rhiannon Archer, Alex Kent and Isabelle Swinnerton (Sixth Form) – all sign up and take part in the sessions.
The sessions included career entry routes, step-by-step talks on progression to the profession, and practical experience and guidance on the wide scope the career offers.
Helen Barratt, Assistant Headteacher, said: “We run a comprehensive programme and a key part of that is employer interactions. This session gave a valuable insight into the profession but also helped to support future UCAS applications and career aspirations.”
