Second game of the season for our Year 7 football team, after last week’s defeat to EDA, and they slipped into gear with their first win as a team and an excellent all round team performance to beat Chase Terrace 5-2.

10 minutes in Friary started on top and Ethan Roberts made a great run, before being brought down, and Friary were awarded a penalty. Ethan stepped up and converted the penalty to put Friary 1-0 up.

The team grew in confidence and more shots went towards Chase Terrace’s goal. Jenson McLaughlin with a great long range effort, followed in by Jacob Freeth to make it 2-0. Two minutes later it was 3-0 to The Friary after a great individual goal by Jaxson Ward.

Jacob Freeth added another goal to the score with a great left footed finished and the scoring was rounded off for The Friary by an excellent volley from Harry Upton.
