Amidst the hubbub of COVID some people forgot that schools have a history of being the venue for the Schools Vaccination Teams to deliver their vaccination programme and as we head towards 2023 there is an update.
The following dates are mapped out – and we can never guarantee there will not be a switch – but parents will receive further details nearer to the time.
Year 9 Vaccinations:
Monday 23 January 2023 – Meningitis ACWY and Diphtheria / Tetanus & Polio
Monday 24 April, 2023 – Human Papilloma Virus (HPV) Second Dose
Year 8 Vaccinations:
Monday 12 June – Human Papilloma Virus (HPV) First Dose
Elsewhere, all of Years 7-9 are eligible for a flu vaccination but we have no confirmation at this stage on this.
Matt Allman, Headteacher, said: “Naturally, these vaccinations require parental consent and as the year unfolds we will deliver any updates on the vaccination schedules as they reach us.”
