On Friday 30th September we will be holding our first PTFA event of the new academic year. Come along to enjoy real ales and music whilst also helping to raise vital funds for our school.
This is a popular event that promises a great night for all. Bring along friends and family (over 18s only) to have a fun night of drinking local ales whilst listening to the fabulous Karl’s Bavarian Brass. During the evening the band will provide live entertainment and music which will ensure we all get a chance to sing and dance and celebrate the beginning of Autumn.
As well as real ale, we will have a range of gins from the Staffordshire Gin Company and a BBQ provided by the PTFA.
At The Friary School, we have a very active PTFA made up of parents, friends of the school and staff. Throughout the year they organise and run a range of events that help to raise much needed funds for our school. Recent funds have helped us to refurbish our three hundred seat theatre, which is used by all students every week.
We’d love to see you at our Oktoberfest celebration. Tickets cost £10 each and include live entertainment and food from the BBQ. Tickets can be purchased in advance via Parent Pay.
Lottie Hearn, Deputy Headteacher, said: ” Oktoberfest is one of the highlights of our PTFA events calendar. It’s a fantastic ice-breaker for new parents and PTFA members and is always a great night out. Our dedicated PTFA do a fantastic job in pulling this event together and helping us to raise much needed funds for our school.”
