The Friary ski team qualified for the ESSKIA Dry Slope Championships after successfully coming through the qualifying event at Pendle.
The team consisted of Noah Bailey, Reece Pike, Fin Pike and new recruit Sean Whillis. They now move onto the finals in Norwich.
Reece and Fin Pike’s recent training with the national squad in Norway came to the fore with Reece taking third place in the overall male rankings.
Matt Allman, Headteacher, said: “We were delighted get Sean onboard for the team and it is fantastic to see the team continue to improve with a qualification by right which was a step up on last year when they secured a team slot as first reserve last time.”
