Our Year 9 six-a-side team beat Lichfield Cathedral and Nether Stowe to progress into finals night of the competition.

Some excellent bowling and batting saw the team through. First game posting Cathedral 60 to win, Luan Painter 42*, Josh Douglas-Boisson 9 and Jono George 4.

Lichfield Cathedral fell 21 short thanks to excellent bowling from Krish S, Jono G and Luan P.

Second game saw Nether Stowe post us 36 to win off 5 overs. Matt Allen staring with 2 wickets in an over. Friary chased down the score thanks to Luan’s 32 off 14 balls.

Jamie Sleigh, PE teacher and team coach, said: “We look forward to finals night next Wednesday and await to see results from the other competitions to see who we will face. The boys are playing superbly and have a great chance.”
