Our Year 11 Leavers Assembly included the usual mix of videos, speeches, photos and more and splashed in a mix of laughter and tears for good measure too.

The event was followed by a chance for students to collect their Leavers Hoodies and all eyes turn now to the Prom later in the term where towering heels, sharp suits, long limos and enough fake tan to sink a battleship will taken centre stage.

Sam Sullivan, Assistant Headteacher and our KS4 Lead, said: “It’s been a hectic few weeks so it is great to see the students pause for breath, let their hair down and celebrate the end of their exams. We’re keeping everything crossed for 9.00am on Results Day now. All indications are positive and we should have lots to celebrate there too.”

Matt Allman, Headteacher, added: “This year group have faced huge disruption and have then led the way back into formal exams but throughout it all they have collectively been committed, on their game, and giving it a good go. They have had catch-up thrown at them left, right and centre, but by-and-large have bought in each and every time. There are plenty of special characters in this year group – and though we’ll see many of them back in Sixth Form – there will be plenty of faces we’ll undoubtedly miss.”
