On Thursday 30 June The School Age Immunisation Team will be visiting The Friary School to provide the first dose of the Human Papilloma Virus (HPV) vaccination to students in year 8. This is offered in Year 8 as part of the national immunisation programme and is free on the NHS. This vaccine requires two doses; the second dose is given 6 – 24 months after the first.

Consent must be provided prior to vaccination. The School Age Immunisation Team now operates a paperless vaccination programme and the use of e-Consent is quick and easy to use, and can be completed on any electronic device.
