Darwin House have been raising money for the Acorns Hospice for several years now and this year, the students put on another very successful charity week which once again highlighted how amazing our students are.

The week was a fantastic success as students worked together as a house to raise a target of £1200.

The week saw a variety of different events such as an online FIFA tournament, cake sales, a raffle for a PlayStation 4, teacher vs students badminton match, dance competitions and many more!

Claire Snape, Acorns Charity, said: “At the charity, we are extremely grateful for all the hard work that students at the Friary are doing. They are always going above and beyond to support us.”

Alex Britton, Head of Darwin House, added: “The students of Darwin House put on another fantastic house week, and were able to raise £1250 for a such a great cause. It was a very humbling experience to see the students hand over a cheque for this amount of money to the Acorns Hospice’
