Students went Easter bonnet crazy whilst helping out our local care home with an Easter bonnet competition extravaganza. The competition was designed to support The Spires care home in Lichfield who asked if we could get involved and create as many Easter bonnets for their fancy hat parade.

The competition was open to everyone and we were delighted to see students from every year group take part. Student were set the task of designing a creative Easter bonnet to be worn by the residents during their fabulous Easter event.

We were overwhelmed by the number of students and staff who got involved and their dedication to the challenge. We managed to donate an amazing 87 Easter bonnets by the end of the week. 42 of these bonnets alone came from students in Seward House with Johnson House in a close second place.

Kim Fallows, Head of Department, said: “Our students loved getting involved with this competition and their creations were simply marvellous. A fantastic effort from everyone who entered. You made the residents very happy with your contributions. We now await a call from The Spires to find out the winners so watch this space for your prizes.”
