These exams have been re-jigged to take on board the content changes made by the DfE and Exam Boards in the last week or so. All students have benefitted from Saturday Schools, after-school boosters, revision materials, etc, and the February half-term gives them an excellent chance to get a break and to put in the hard yards on revision.

The following documents were sent out to parents in preparation of these Mock / PPEs:

Sam Sullivan, Assistant Headteacher and KS4 Lead, said: “We have been repeating the mantra that exams will happen and have ran countless assemblies and sessions to guide our Year 11 students for these exams. The summer results will determine places in Sixth Forms, colleges and apprenticeships, and the mock exams are a crucial benchmark on this journey. Our advice has been absolute – these exams need 100% effort.”

Matt Allman, Headteacher, added: “When these exams end there will be just over 30 school days remaining until the formal exam period begins in the Summer. These mocks exams are critical to students gauging where they are and a genuine effort enables their the teachers to spot misconceptions and to address then for the real thing. It is vital students give their all as just expecting to turn up in the Summer and pull top grades out of the bag is unrealistic. The best exam results come from regular revision and the learning from mistakes.”
