Our Year 11 pupils are busy preparing for their next round of mock exams, known as Pre-Public Exams, or PPEs. These exams will take place starting the week beginning 28th February and pupils will sit exams across a range of subjects. Copies of the PPE exam timetable and topic booklets have been set for pupils on Show My Homework, and also emailed to parents.
This morning saw the start of three Year 11 assemblies focusing on revision tips and strategies to help pupils to prepare.
Assistant Headteacher, Sam Sullivan, said: “The PPEs are designed to test pupils’ knowledge and understanding of topics covered more recently, which were not assessed on the November mock exams. The process will also help pupils with their revision and consolidation of learning in preparation for their final exams in the summer. The assemblies are just one of the many strategies we have in place to support pupils in their revision, but it is also imperative that they are undertaking independent learning at home, as well.”
