Many of our Year 11 students are facing formal vocational exams at the moment; including BTEC Enterprise written exam, BTEC Health & Social Care written exam, and practical exams in Vocational Award Hospitality & Catering.

These are the main kick-off for the raft of GCSE exams which kick off in mid-May and these are supported by our final round of mock exams directly after half-term which are also supported by Saturday Schools and after-school boosters.

Naturally, we are encouraging students and parents to focus their attention on doing well; whether it be to ensure they can bank vocational qualifications before the GCSE exams begin, or to prepare full for the Mocks so they can really learn from them, understand their weaknesses, and enable teachers to address gaps for the real things;

Sam Sullivan, Assistant Headteacher, said: “We saw a fantastic turn-out at the Enterprise sessions this Saturday with a round 50 students coming in. he teachers did an excellent job in prepping for the exam, and all of our efforts are directed towards helping our students shine in their exams. The accompanying photo may well be giving you  glimpse of the next Richard Branson or Deborah Meaden.”
