This lottery has been set up specifically to raise money and make a difference to our children! It is a superb way to raise funds for our school whilst also having a chance to win a weekly cash prize draw.
It is a fantastic way to bring Parents, Carers, Teachers and the wider community together, in partnership with our school, and at the same time give something back. We hope to raise funds that can support and enrich the education of our children- we aim to provide extra resources for the children, improve the school environment as well as continue to fund extra-curricular activities such as music, art and sport. This year, funds will help to improve outside association areas for pupils as well as contribute towards the refurbishment of the theatre which is used daily for assemblies, lessons, visiting speakers and performances. It really is the beating heart of our school.
‘Your School Lottery’ create and run lotteries for UK schools. Their goal is to help schools raise money through their local communities to improve educational facilities for their children. Unlike other national scale lotteries, they operate at a local school level; so every penny of school profit raised comes straight back to our school(40%). The lottery costs £1 per week and there will be a winner in every school community each week, PLUS because of their scale, they are also able to provide a weekly £25,000 grand prize draw to all ticket holders from across the country!

Many schools across the country have started to run their own fundraising lotteries in response to reduced school funding and our own PTFA know ‘Your School Lottery’ is a great way to help boost funds. As you know, we have a very active Parent, Teacher and Friends Association (PTFA) here at The Friary. This group consists of a dedicated team of people working together to put on fun and sociable events to help raise funds for our school. All of the money they raise goes towards making school a memorable experience for your children.
Lottie Hearn, Deputy Headteacher said; “The Lottery is a great alternative to paying into an annual school fund. We love the element of fun the lottery creates whilst we also raise funds that ensure we can make our school the vibrant and well looked after place our pupils deserve. Your support is greatly appreciated and we wish you good luck!”
