After a couple of years away from the big stage, The Friary School ‘Battle of the Bands’ is Back!
This year’s ‘Battle of the Bands’ sees pupils tackle music from the “noughties” (2000-2009) in our annual celebration of rock and pop music. This year is set to be extra special with judges from Lichfield Arts deciding upon the winning act, with the winners getting the opportunity to perform at various Lichfield Arts festivals over the summer including The Fuse Festival!
Come and listen to a range of class acts performing hits from the “noughties” as they battle it out to be champions of this year’s competition.
Head of Music, Mr Hood said; ” We can’t wait to get some live performances back on stage in The Friary Theatre. We are very proud of our performing Arts facilities here at The Friary and we pride ourselves on being able to offer a broad range of experiences for pupils to get up and perform in front of a live audience, whether that be in the Carol Service at Lichfield Cathedral or our summer music festival on the field”
