Our Y8 Partnership Evening was held on Thursday 4th November and was open to all of our Year 8 parents.  It was fantastic to see so many attend and we were well aware that for many, this was the first time some Year 8 parents will have been able to come inside our school.

Partnership Evenings are a way for our school to give year group specific information to parents about our school, how parents can support their child as well as vital subject information.  This year there were presentations on the following topics:

Science Subject in Focus Click here

Second in Science, Mr Awbery, talked about the Science curriculum and gave some guidance on how to revise and learn important knowledge.

The value of home learning and creating independent learners Click here

This presentation provided information on why we set homework and how you can help support your child at home.

Lottie Hearn, Deputy Headteacher, said; “Partnership Evenings are a great way for us to share key information with parents.  We keep the sessions year group specific and ensure we keep parents ‘in the loop’.”
